Here we are in the 4th quarter of 2024 already. The election is behind us as we focus on the business ahead.
The year has had it’s challenges as fish prices are still a concern for our Northwest and Alaska customers but the market has some indications of improvement in the next 1-2 years. New construction tops the list of targets for Alfa Marine & Protein. With our colleagues at Alfa Laval, Atlas Incinerators and Ampco Pumps we provide fish oil, fish meal and surimi process solutions as well as complete pump packages and incinerator systems.
We have also focused on Alfa Laval’s new heat recovery system turning waste heat on vessels in to electricity as well as their ALF self cleaning filter systems.
With markets being unpredictable this year Alfa Marine & Protein expanded in to mining and rendering opportunities in Nevada, Utah, Alaska and Idaho. Our heat exchanger repairs were on the list of services provided as well as Atlas Incinerators opportunities in mining waste and rendering waste.
Our fourth quarter looks to be strong while the 2nd and 3rd quarters were soft. Looking forward to a prosperous 2025.
With all of that said the holiday season is right in front of us. We want to wish all of you a most safe and Happy Thanksgiving and Christmas. We all still have much to be thankful for. Collette and I plan to spend time with our grandkids in Montana, Oregon and Washington.
